My life has been and is art, especially painting. Presently, I am working on marketing and creating several series of works. (Visit my website for more information on these new series.) I live intentionally and enjoy the moments in time. Although, I have painting mostly watercolors in the past, and still love the medium, I am presently working in Acrylics and doing more contemporary work. Going in this new direction has sparked in me new feelings of freedom, energy, and enthusiasm. Newly released paintings will be posted soon. My website- www.DebMagelssen.com and new blog- www.debmagelssen.blogspot.com

Life and the wonder of it all.
Beauty to uplift and create hope.

Sunlight to know about tomorrow.
Kids to know what freedom means.
Teenagers to learn to expand my horizons.
A good belly laugh to keep things simple.

Greed.

Making art and having fun, gardening, hiking, reading, listening to music, hanging with friends, dining out.

First and foremost, Happy Birthday! Thanks for the wonderful comments. In answer to your birthday Keemos question... that is a great idea. Ill have to think of some way to make that practical...hmmm... something to stew on... Thanks again. Cheers!

Hi Deb:

Haven't talked to you for a while. I hope all is going great!!! From the looks of your recent work it's going quite well indeed!  I love the colors in these two new ones and the story about that cool house.

Take care,

Barbara

Hi Deb, Thank you for your enthusiastic praise of my painting 'Promise Of The Light'. It's actually a couple of years old now and sold to a local collector. You are right about never underselling or discounting your work; I sure don't. Once you get into good galleries you need to guard your prices so everyone is on the same page. Undercutting is a sure way to loose credibility.

I like your color harmony with"One Pink Petal", it is a lovely painting.

Warm Regards, David

Thank you for your kind words. I am the definition of a starving artist right now, but I am hoping to sell in the near future!
