My life has been and is art, especially painting. Presently, I am working on marketing and creating several series of works. (Visit my website for more information on these new series.) I live intentionally and enjoy the moments in time. Although, I have painting mostly watercolors in the past, and still love the medium, I am presently working in Acrylics and doing more contemporary work. Going in this new direction has sparked in me new feelings of freedom, energy, and enthusiasm. Newly released paintings will be posted soon. My website- www.DebMagelssen.com and new blog- www.debmagelssen.blogspot.com

Deb,  Thanks for the visit and comments on my page!  It's good to know that there are others out there who still support the teaching profession.  The media and government have not been too kind of late!!!!  You have a nice page with great work.  I really like you soft style, and can tell it carries over to your abstract work.  Keep up the good work, I'm off to visit your new website!!

Question Deb...if you're such a wuss about the cold (I proudly admit that I am too), dont'cha think Minny should be near last on the list of places to reside?????

Thanks for the comment on Fenway. I've never been there but I've seen enough games on TV to know the history and magic of the park. I did that piece for a friend of mine - he's a Red Sox nut! It took me a long time to get the painting done because of all the details of the place and cityscape in the background (which makes it such an interesting park). I told my buddy it might be hard for me to send the painting to him because it's almost become like my right arm!

What do you mean you want a ballpark? You're getting a new stadium, aren't you???

Beer, dog and hot weather...you got the beers and the dogs, but the hot weather you won't see up there for quite a while yet :-)

Hi Deb~

Thought I'd stop by and "meet" you.  Thanks for looking in on my site and the nice comments.  Yeah, I'm a down-to-earth person and as an artist I focus pretty much on creating my art and the joy of that.  Negative emotions of any kind only serve to zap creative energy, so I try to move as quickly as I can through challenges and keep my nose above water.

I took a look at your work - delightful!  I love the saturated color and playful abstraction of your more contemporary pieces.  Are the cross images part of one of those series for which you are preparing a show?  Looks like you've got a great start on it!

Your realistic pieces are quite nice.  In particular, your picture of draft horses.  Do you handle horses, for this piece feels to me like you are quite familiar with the animals.  And I know horses, so I recognize an accurate representation when I see it.

Anyway, thanks again for stopping by my Scuttlebutt site, and also going to my website.  I've been having a little trouble updating my website lately - some things are not importing and it's garbling the text.  I just discovered this and have to fix it...so I hope you were able to make sense of things?

Blessings,

Karen
