My life has been and is art, especially painting. Presently, I am working on marketing and creating several series of works. (Visit my website for more information on these new series.) I live intentionally and enjoy the moments in time. Although, I have painting mostly watercolors in the past, and still love the medium, I am presently working in Acrylics and doing more contemporary work. Going in this new direction has sparked in me new feelings of freedom, energy, and enthusiasm. Newly released paintings will be posted soon. My website- www.DebMagelssen.com and new blog- www.debmagelssen.blogspot.com

HI Deb!  So very very good to hear from you, I've really missed being in touch.  Congratulations on selling a painting, I know how wonderfully affirming that can be!!!  What a luck person that now owns one of your special and beautiful pieces!   I sold 2 paintings this month and it feels so good to move the work and to experience your efforts through anothers perception and joy.  It is like seeing it again for the first time!

I've been very busy with work..the academic year is winding down, our site visit is over, commencement is in 2 weeks, so lots to do in prepartion for that!  IN addition, last night was the opening reception of the Gallery C opening group exhibit, my second on in 2 months...i'm pretty wiped out!  I actually work the gallery today all day as well.  Check out my website for photos of this beatuiful gallery.  www.sandymedearis.com It is in a historic building in downtown Hermosa Beach and after this exhibit they will turn the space into 2 retail stores.. A real loss for the art world.  It is the perfect space to have a gallery, but alas, retail jeans and t-shirts trump art.

IN addition, my oldest daughter is getting married in 6 weeks...so...life is busy busy busy..I am so glad to hear from you, send some of your new paintings from your  Burridge experience!

Lots of love, Sandy

I enjoy the "moments in time" shown in your portraits.  The vivid colors in your landscapes really infuse them with a serene energy.

I CANT WAIT TOSEE YOUR NEW STUFF!!

And kudos for doing something so perfect for yourself at this time, i'm really proud of you!  You're in my thoughts and prayers, so good to hear from you! Love, Sandy

Hi Deb,  thanks for reading my blog.  the pay it forward concept using art was a lot of fun.  i received one nice painting from an artist whose work i admire and sent 3 paintings out.  2 went to California and one to NYC.  and yes, it is true the more you give, the more you receive-this applies on many, many levels.

Deb, if you want a gold star, all you have to do is use the scuttlebut site so much that you hit 700 (the number on the right of where the stars are) and then you also can have a gold star! I would guess if you stayed active on this site for about 72 hrs straight making comments and posting new works you'd have a gold star too.

Ok, your in the club, but there is a hazing....

You might get your own music by visiting myflashfetish.com and pick a player, add music and get the code... The code then needs to be pasted in one of your profile windows on the 'Butt'.  It isn't too tricky, but you'll need some patience.

I am not speaking about the Bad Boy thing, some of the people seem to be insinuating that I have been causing trouble here....

Enjoy the snow, spring is on its way.

But the Ocean Oh WOW! Isn't is WONDERFUL? the sunsets are great, as they are in the desert. Come to Vegas for a visit you'll love it.

When I went to this scuttlebutt site, I did so out of boredom...in between big jobs.  What a blessing this has been for me!  I'm so happy to see and meet other Christian artists (on the professional level)!  It's like a breath of fresh air!  I wasn't surprised to see that your work sings with vibrancy, color and happiness...that's the empowerment God gives His people, no matter what gifts they are given.  (I mention to my children to do away with pride when they achieve high marks, because God made the so-called idiot savants who are intellectually impaired in most areas, but have one or two genius level talents that stun the medical and scientific community).  I am so happy to share thoughts with you and other Christian artists...maybe we can put out a blog or something to bring them in...I know that there are quit a few (I'm surprised, actually) on this...er...scuttlebutt...thing...LOL!  I even hesitated to go here because of the name...but I saw a repectable artist on an illustrator site mention that he had a free web page here...so that's how I got here.  Anyway...I'm getting too long winded...talk to you later!  I'm thrilled, sis!
