My life has been and is art, especially painting. Presently, I am working on marketing and creating several series of works. (Visit my website for more information on these new series.) I live intentionally and enjoy the moments in time. Although, I have painting mostly watercolors in the past, and still love the medium, I am presently working in Acrylics and doing more contemporary work. Going in this new direction has sparked in me new feelings of freedom, energy, and enthusiasm. Newly released paintings will be posted soon. My website- www.DebMagelssen.com and new blog- www.debmagelssen.blogspot.com

Life and the wonder of it all.
Beauty to uplift and create hope.

Kids to know what freedom means.
Teenagers to learn to expand my horizons.
A good belly laugh to keep things simple.

War, Pride, Anger, Fear, Haughtiness, Jealousy,
Greed.

Making art and having fun, gardening, hiking, reading, listening to music, hanging with friends, dining out.

HI DEB!!! My goodness I have missed you!! I've hated having the site down.  So good to be back intouch, made me realize I would love to have your email address so that I can stay in touch in case the site goes down again.

I remember holidays with kids...not a holiday for the MOM! hahah...hang in there...the quiet of the first day back in school is an amazingly beautiful thing.  How is your mom?  I have kept you all in my heart during this time.

I didn't do any painting over the holiday but got into JEWELRY making instead...OY VEY!  what a new and wonderful path.  My rationale, was that when I am too tired to paint after work, I can sit and bead....so far, it's working.  I added, very quickly, a "Just Jewelry" page to my website.  I have to take better pictures this weekend.

Getting back to the studio will unleash for you a wealth of art.  Bless this time away for the gift it is...it is the contrast.  Without dark, the light would not be as intense...

Can't wait to see what you create!  YAY...so good to hear from you!

Love, Sandy

Oh yeah I was meaning to ask you... Are you the spokesperson from Design on a Dime.... HGTV.... from MN...? you have an amazing likeness to her.  I think if you tell me you are not I might not believe you anyhow.  You look just like her and I swear that from the communications I've had with you that you would have the same personality too.  Hmmmm......

Deb, Hi, Glad to hear from you. Yes Susan is the one. I sent an e-mail to her asking for details of the event like location and price. I'm still waiting. I think I'll try to contact her again. Maybe the e-mail got lost in translation as some e-mails do.  Do you have any particulars yet? How far away from the workshop are you?

I'd love to link to you when you're up and running. Keep me updated on your site and thanks for letting me quote you.  Hope your Holidays were perfect!

I'd be happy to post a link back to your site if you have one as a thank-you. Let me know if it's okay.

 Happy New Year

Hi Deb, I'm so excited!!! I may be coming to MN. I have an e-mail inquiry out now regarding the Burridge workshop there. It would take me ten hours to get there and then a 5 day stay. I'm so excited for it to all work out. I'm excited that I may be able to meet you as well. you are going aren't you? Thank you again for telling me about them.

 Much appreciation,

Jen

Hi Deb,

I am honored by your offer of friendship and I accept. I really like your work and the direction you are going.  I left you comments on several of your paintings, but not sure you got them. Thanks for your kind words on my work.

Hi Deb!  I hope this finds you well, and enjoying the Christmas season.  I too have looked at the Italy Trip with the Burridge's ... I'd really love to go, but fall is a tough time for me to leave my job...I'm tied into the academic calendar, but who knows, that is over a year away!!!  I'm off now for the rest of the year, so I'll be on alot more,  take care, Sandy
