Not much to say, really. Since I can remember, I've been busy doing art. I have sincere gratitude for the joy in creating beauty through my work and to share the insights it brings with my students.

I love to teach the fundamentals that have been overlooked for so long here in the US. My classes include, Learning Color and Color Theory, Painting 1 - Oils, Painting 2 - Oils, Composition: the basics through Dynamic Symmetry, Plein Air - Capturing the light and Perspective Drawing.

I'm represented by New Masters Gallery in Carmel California. www.newmastersgallery.com

Hi David, so nice to meet you and under such flattering circumstances! Thank you so very much for your kind words and compliments. They are most welcome. And most appreciated from an artist of your stature! Your work is stunning! I'm off to visit your gallery and enjoy your art. I'm honored to have you as a friend. Looking forward to chatting.

 Best, Suzanne

Beautiful work David. I hear you about teaching the fundamentals. We have had an unfortunate few decades where just learning the basics of the craft have been ignored. Thanks for being a torchbearer.

Love your Nevada skies! A nice surprise to learn you are local. I have been in Reno/Carson for 4.5 years but from NC where I also have a home. I have started to teach plein air workshops at Yosemite and did one this summer thru the NMA. Lots of fun...hence the Reno urbans you noticed in my gallery. I work out of the home and don't even call it a studio which is a big issue for me. I am going to make NC my home base this fall but be bicoastal and continue doing workshops thru the museum. Would love to talk art with ya some time!

thanks for popping by my page!  I am very much in awe of your use of oils and would love to take a class - maybe one day - in the meantime I must learn what I can through this wonderful artscuttlebutt!  I have been using acrylics and oils and find that I appreciate oils alot more.  Would like to thank you for sharing your gallery and will pop by now and then - and learn what I can from your inspirational gallery!

Dynamic symmetry-- now there's a phrase I haven't heard in few decades. But a worthy pursuit-- I think about it daily. Gorgeous cloud paintings you have, thanks. R

As a graphite artist just getting into color (at the age of 70, I thought it was about time), I really like the work I see here.
