Anything done really well esp. classical, jazz, musical theater, country, opera, bluegrass, classic rock. Favorites: Chopin, Diana Krall

The most recent good book I read was "The Four Agreements" by Ruiz -- life changing, clear, and sensible.

I enjoy lots of films and can be talked into going to see almost anything other than horror and action (I believe it all ... can't even wade in the ocean anymore after seeing "Jaws" nearly 30 years ago). I thought "Tango Lesson" by Sally Potter was fabulous -- every frame was a work of art, and the Yo Yo Ma music video at the end was just great.

I started "Art Calendar" magazine 21 years ago. 21 years ago I thought it would be part-time and I started it on a desk in the laundry room. Who woulda thunk it?

Competence. Joy. Music. Theatre. Art. My children. God. Gorgeous clouds. The sea. Love. A good vacation. Chick flicks. Red wine. Kindness. Horses. Flowers. Herb gardening. Good food.

Slow drivers in the left lane. Meanness. Rudeness. Incompetence. Blaming. Inflexibility. Corporate mentality (or lack thereof).

Horses (especially Lipizzans), homeopathic medicine, fitness, cooking, vintage and artist-made clothing, eBay.

Carolyn- what can I say, but thanks for another great edition of Art Calendar!  I'll be scribbling, underlining, etc., again all this month.  Love it!

P.s. I can not do horror movies either-  too realistic, too visual and too scarey!  I can't fall asleep afterwards and the images stay in my head and I start imagining all kinds of things-Ahh!

I am emersed in the latest edition of Art Calendar. The article on Erin Cone is particularly interesting to me and I know I will love Jack White's column - as always.

This is great!  Thank you for all those long hours in the laundry room!  You and some of the other regulars of Art Calendar have been my inspriation and guide to making my Studio a success.  All the tips and how to's have helped me make the right choices when God opened the doors for me.  Thanks!  I am looking forward to meeting my new friends online too!

About rocks: The very first clocks were powered with rocks; they definately have an energy.  I know the verse you quoted and can't wait to see that.  Everything that is created has some energy/life force installed by Creator.

Hi Carolyn just a quik note about the e-edition of Art Calendar.

I   LOVE   IT.

I love saving a tree. I love being able to see an advertisement or an article and click a link to see more it I want to. I love not having to store one more thing in my 750 sq.ft. 100-year-old school house home.  Most of all I love how it helps me.

Thank you.

Hi Carolyn... Have you any idea when my studio might come out in Art Calendar?  I can't wait to tell all my friends!  And I do hope you got thru Thanksgiving ok, given your awful situation.  I'm hoping you can come out to visit me, get away from it all, you know... come take better photos or my studio since after all it'll be in AC!  :0)  Thinking of you!

I have to thank you as well.   Art Calendar has been instrumental in my growth as an artist.  Such a skinny magazine, (thankyou it is not chocked full of advertisement), but so full of awesome information and packed with great idea's for marketing, etc.   THANKS!!

Great ideas!

Art Calendar, The Websites and your art work.

Florida big skies always amaze me, too.

Thank you, Carolyn.

Hi Carolyn, I just added you to my friends list, thank you for asking to be included!  I love your work, especially the landsacpes!  That is what I am currently working on, new landsacpes and they are all BEACH related.  I am new to this site and have signed up for subscription to Art Calendar, and I am just thrilled to be a part of this collective group of artists that I can access at any time, with the click of a few buttons!  Thanks again for your interest, do I have to request for you to become my friend too?  Let me know and I'll figure out how to do so!  Warmest wishes!
