Two years ago at a fundraising auction, my husband bid on and won (for me) a day of painting lessons with an artist in our area. That was my first introduction to watercolor painting and I fell in love with the medium. I have so much to learn, but my painting classes are the highlight of my week.

Hi Carmela-Thanks for your input.  I know how much you're enjoying those watercolor classes.  The first teacher I had almost made me give up but the next teacher was the best in Va.  I've been making art ever since.

Thanks again,  Sue

Hello,

Thanks for your recent compliment on my watercolor painting "Grapes"!   I really love and am drawn to your painting "Separating The Waters: The Second Day".  It's beautiful!

Have a good one,

Carmela, thanks for your kind words. You have some nice work as well. I especially like the untitled portrait of the woman, the sepia tone one. Great job!

Carmela,

Thanks for your response to my art.  Until 2002, I was self-taught and had to wait until I retired from full-time professorship in education to open my art business.

My self portrait is done, all the flowers are collage, and I added a bunch more today. its not exactly how I thought it would be but I really didnt have a set plan when I started this.

your new works look great, particularly the abstract.

Camela,

Thanks for your nice comments and getting me oriented to Appleton Farms. It sounds perfect. I'm familier with Ipswhich having been stationed a long time ago at Otis Air Force Base. They let us out the gate every now and then. My wife Barb and I try to go back to Falmouth where we used to live just to see how it is looking now.

I noticed some comments about turtles but I haven't seen them yet. They sound terrific. Love the color in your art. Not bad for someone who is 109!
