This site can be a bit addictive! I truly appreciate all the comments, points of view, along with making new friends. As a self taught artist, it is really nice to hear from other, more experienced artist, than myself and gain from their experience.

I enjoy paintings with strong composition, saturated color, and a dash of texture.

I prefer to paint images where the subject is still, but the colors and textures have movement.

During the process of painting a picture I do a lot of experimenting , looking for a new approach to a painting. This shows up most in the way I portray the relationship between the subject and its surroundings.

The Masters, the colors of Camille Pissarro, the light of Monet, the movement of Van Gogh, and the classical beauty of Michelangelo and Vermeer, inspire me.

Take care,

Brian Ezzell

more of my art work

Above is the exact way i accomplished the link. if you follow it exactly, inserting your web address, it should work. all the brackets, quotes, slashes, etc just like it shows. it took me forever to figure it out, and then finally "smwillis" solved the mystery for me by his genius ability to decipher the "help guide" description.

anyway, hope that helps!

This was once an amusement building (part of a whole big boardwalk amusement area in Asbury Park , NJ on the shore) It once housed the country's oldest ferris wheel (it came out through the roof). Sadly, it was knocked down about a year ago to make way for condos. The face on the side of the building (Tillie) is very special to locals and there was a even movement to try to stop the destruction. Some people were hoping Bruce Springsteen would pull through to try to save it (He's from the area)

I totally agree, so then "carefree"  became " Karafree"  I am a free one...at least that is my goal on the days I am caught in the illusions of time and struggle....

Thanks for your friend invite and nice comments.

The greatest gift I can give myself and others each day is sitting quietly in nature and Being one with it......This is something I have come to learn...winters can get long when I can't sit out in the garden.....There is a warmth, and loving respect in your work!

Thanks for visiting my site. Yes, printmaking can really get a hold on you. There are so many processes to learn and play with. You can do monotypes and relief prints without a press. Good luck getting started. I have a few good books to recommend if you're interested.
