Hi, there! Wow, I like your new work! Sorry I dropped out of circulation for a while. I've been wanting to thank you for the encouraging words you left in my guest book. They mean a lot! Take care - Chris ... p.s. Are you on Facebook? My husband and I just joined, and we're big fans.....

Amy, you are a wonder! just visited your gallery after studying your new work. Is your inspiration in your head, or do you paint reality your own way? Whatever, you are one talented Alaskin (is that how it is said?) I want to see where you live on a map. My girlfriend recently found out she has a grandaughter in Stebbins, a very poor seaside town. She visits regularly, trying to help the town with dentistry, poverty, etc. I don't know how she does it, but she does.

CU soon, Lisabeth

Hi...Nice 'About Me', .. visited your website...you have a really strong Tucson connection.  It was fun to read your exhibition schedule between Tucson and Germany.

Nice to get to meet...we'll be crossing paths often.....  :-)  Gary

Hey Amy - thanks for swinging by : )

No I haven't read Touching the Void...yet. I saw it when I went to buy Into Thin Air. Wow! What a book that was! I felt like I was on Everest with them! I haven't heard of Shackelton's Adventure - I'll look into it. Right now I'm reading Krakauer's Under The Banner of Heaven - good book but not an adventure. After that I'll pick up "Eiger Dreams" by Krakauer. Last week I saw "The Alps" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0972356/) at the science center here in town. It was excellent. The views of Switzerland are breathtaking. When I saw "Everest" in 1998 I was so enthralled by the beauty of being up that high and looking at everything from that point of view that I went skydiving - one of the most amazing moments of my life! If I could afford it I think I would be a full time adventurer! I'd like to go cage diving in Great White territory but my wife isn't buying into that one...hmmmm, what to do next....

Hi Amy!

Thanks for checking out my work. =) You're so sweet. Have you been painting away? I started a new one yesterday. It's in the "pondering" stage.

Your art is really cool (no pun intended)  It renibds me of winters in Scotland when the sun is out, and everything has a bluish glow to it.  Awesome work miss.   Keep it up and enjoy those 'honey and peanut butter sarnies'

I asked you that because it takes me three days to finish a painting (sooner if it's a drawing) if I'm very devoted to it's completion. If I lag, It takes me around a month. I've been laging a lot and have been wondering how other artists handle this lag if they get it in the first place.

That's in my head a lot.

I sourt of feel guilt about letting something that I long ago recognized as a passion just slip from my grap. I'm not even gripping it anymore, it's more like two intertwined pinkies...which is rather sad.

A lot of my day dreams play host to an alternate life or the one I use to live when I was younger and how my children will be...if I ever get the chance. But, I'm always planning for the future.

Sorry if I sound negetive, but YOU sound like such a positive person! Which is inspiring  It's one reason why I wanted to add you, the others are your immense talent and great taste.
