I specialize in watercolor paintings of seascapes and maritime subjects. Most of my paintings are custom ordered commissions, although I also sell at festivals and shows. I teach workshops on painting, photography, and art marketing, and I demonstrate and lecture to various art organizations and groups. I also write articles about art business and marketing for my favorite magazine, Art Calendar.

Hi, Annie,

Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving. Your comment
that you haven't tried to enter the national show in years caught my
attention. If YOU haven't tried (for good reasons I'm sure), then I
don't know what I am doing by trying.

My dissatisfactions with
this group's previous competitions kept me from bothering for a long
time. Just got bored looking at my lack of early spring art plans I
think. And I expect ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to come of it.

I am
enjoying seeing your latest paintings of rowboats very much. Any clues
about in what venues these are getting a response? (Something I recall
your mentioning elsewhere on this website.)

For my eye your work represents the height of tranquility.  I adore beat up wooden boats bobbing on calm waters...character plus charm!
