Hey Kelly:

I want to let you know about the new Marketing Group.  It's listed under Groups, on the 2nd page to you have to hit the 'view all' button to find it.  I hope you find it useful.  Barbara

I so enjoyed looking at your gallery! Your work is nuanced and beautifully observed. I especially like the bird pieces, I have worked on wild bird rehab, you have caught some great moods there, along with the true appearance of the species. My favorite is the fox in the snowy landscape. Your work gives the viewer a moving emotional experience and a sense of harmony with the natural world.

Hi Kelly, it's nice to meet you.  I've got my work in the RiverView Gallery in Havre de Grace!  Yay for MD artists!

Hi Kelly, Thank you for your kind compliments on my work. I checked out Greg Beecham's work, he's good painter. You could learn a lot from artist such as he especially if he is also a good teacher too! Imho, oils are the easiest of the mediums to do. As David Leffel says, "In learning how to paint, the only technical thing to learn is how to hold a brush and make a brushstroke." I have found this true with my students. Once they learn to hold the brush where it is designed to be held at the end of the handle using your whole arm to make a delicate stroke it all seems to click at ounce. Please let us know how your workshop turns out.

Warm Regards, David

Hey Kelly:

The wildlife art show looks truly amazing!!!! I wish you the absolute best and hope you have a spectacular show. I'll have to figure out where the shows are in the Northwest that are so well put together. (Or else I'll just have to travel. )  Barbara

Thanks for the kind words.  Breaking the habit of photo realism with wildlife is hard - but I am working at it.  We could form a mutual admiration  society of two.  Where are you located?  Do you do retail shows?    me
