I took a workshop with Robert Burridge back in April through the Northstar Watercolor Society.  I changed many, many things about how I approach my art and why I paint.  It was a life changing experience.  Bob hasn't a clue how he affected me, but I will be forever grateful that I had the priviledge of working along side of him.  I can hardly wait until he and Kate come back and do their marketing workshop. I'll be there.

Hi Sandy, I am lucky to have a wonderful husband that suppors me 100% ! We have been married for 26 years. Plus, he makes enough money, that we can do this now. So far, I have been able to make the studio rent off my sales, which is really blowing me away!  I never dreamed this would be so fulfilling, and that people would like my work this much.  I can also see a rapid improvement in my skills, and I am closer to my vision with each new painting.  But I could not have gotten this far without my husband! On my own - I probably would still be struggling. Everybody needs a super cheerleader! -Cathy :)

Hi Sandy-  Good to hear from you.  Your new work is wonderful.  I absolutely love them all-  You use the same flow, colors and techniques that are similar to the way I paint my acrylics, and maybe that is why I find them so beautiful.

I finally saw "Enchanted".  I took my daughter and her BBF to see it.  We loved it.  The theatre was not crowded and we were all laughing hysterically. My daughter was mortified by my laughter, but when I saw that she made her dress out of the drapes, I lost it.  Maybe it is because I am so tired this time of year or what- but it was so funny-

I haven't painted last week- I have some parents that need me and they are in hospice now.  It's a hard time, yet, it has been good because it has become quality time now.  My crosses are my way of saying we have hope.

I plan on getting more done this week- if at all possible- I have another show this Sunday and I want to be able to sell a few more than before.

Better go-  keep in touch-   happy painting!!

Hi Sandy,

Your art is beautiful!!! Thank you for the positive comments; you go, girl, too!!! When you can realize your dream of painting, instead of a money job, it will be one of the best times in your life - keep your eye on the prize! I will be pulling for you! - Cathy :)

Sandy,

My, you are attempting to do a huge piece of work!   I would love to do that as well, except my husband is already worried that I am taking over the house as a gallery...Ha!   Have fun with that.  Yes, I am sure you are tired.  Trouble with us artists is that we are usually thinking and planning 100% of the time, trying to find time to complete what we are imaging and planning, and then when we get the time, we go overboard cus it is SO MUCH FUN!!   I can hardly wait to hear how it is going.  Keep in touch.
