Greetings, Thank you for visiting my page. People tend to see alot of differant influences in my artwork so your not off. Best wishes on your showing, kind regards, Kellie
Not that I'm trying to flood you with questions- but your comments opened the door....What's the best kind of color print(I've always worked in black and white- easy to reproduce) how many should be in a limited edition- where do you even go to get prints done- other than photocopying, I don't know anything about it. Point me to a book or in a direction. You can't make colored prints from digital images can you? I assume you need the original for this?
Thanks for your comments on my trees. I'm trying to finish between 15 and 20- hopefully approach someone with them. I still have tons of ideas- my job gets in the way of my time to draw, but your comments are encouraging.
Hi! I do both painting from life and from my own photographs. I generally take a lot of photo reference when I catch a great scene or moment. I have the ones I like printed at Target and I usually use my auto tracer (it's sort of like an overhead projector. I lay in the general composition in pencil, and I do spend time on capturing the details of shadows, or fence lines in the sand. Then I just refer to th photo as I paint, but I do try and get more expressive with my paint and squint at it a lot to find "broader" ways to use the paint without getting so into the details. I hope this makes sense and helps. You also should check out Jack White's art books-they have been instrumental in my progress as an artist over the last year. Go to www.senkarik.com and start with "The Mystery of Making It". You won't be dissapointed!
Congrats! I hope you'll get some good feedback on your show! I am still a bit new in Jersey, not sure where the gallery is located - I'll have to look it up! You should experiment with collage, it is fun & I like the contrast it makes next to the paint! I think an aspect of ad collage would do well in your work.
Thank you so much for the comment - all my work shown is acrylic & collage on canvas. In various sizes... Yes, I am in Jersey, in Metuchen - and somehow your work looks familiar to me....? Did you show work in Metuchen....Now I am curious - I really like it!
Thanks for visiting my page. The vent watercolor, Duct, has been around the country at several local shows, Watercolor USA 2004, and New Art 2005 in Boston. It's turned out to be a favorite for shows, but not for anyone's living area so far. Congratulations on the first show, and keep up the painting!
