Hi Sharmon,

Your work is just lovely.  What a wonderful dreamlike quality they have.  Your use of color, texture, and layering just gives sucha fluid movement, almost as if under water.  If you haven't read them already, I would suggest that you get Jack White's art books.  He gives you a real road map of how to become successful as an artist.  I am all too familiar with meeting "financial neccessities" and art taking a backseat to it all.  I have been in the restaurant business for 17 years and did a few small things here and there during that time.  I heard about Jack's books about 6 months ago, and have been on a path towards success.  Go to www.senkarik.com and click on books.  Start with the 1st one The Mystery of Making It.  I found myself moved to tears many times in his books, as they really give the true information I didn't realize I was thirsting for for so long.  Best Wishes.

Sharmon,

I absolutely love your work. So moving -- rich in color and evocative of all kinds of sensations and memories. Thank you for creating it. I plan to spend more time browsing through your galleries in the coming days.

Hi!  Thanks for visiting my site!  Im glad that you like my work, and yep all of my manipulations are done in photoshop.  I use a few techniques that allow me to play with only the colors that I most enjoy in each image.  Hopefully making my images a little different than other things that you may have seen before.  But enough about me!  I really enjoy your work!  I couldnt believe that they were paintings, to me (and online) they look like printmaking, I was even more intruiged to learn that they were not prints.  You are wonderfully talented and have beautiful work!

Hi taylor,  I love all the texture you get in your paintings. Do you paint in acrylic. The painting "Transformation 10 " is a beautiful example. Very nice!  I paint in acrylic and love just playing with texture from time to time, I use it mostly as background as my work is quite flat. Keep them comming and good luck

I learned relief using Sintra, so I haven't done much with lino or wood.  We get it from a plastics place in Fargo.  I have found a website for Sintra online before, so maybe they could direct you to a supply near you.
