Hi fellow Mainer...Thank you for the input...I also enjoy viewing your site...as you probably can tell from my site I enjoy painting landscape, which is easy to do when you live and Maine...and yes tree are a huge part of our daily lives.  I have a friend that lives in Monmouth...he live next to the Monmouth Threater with his family, I believe he told me once he had huge old chestnut tree in his yard...so I see were your love of trees with character come from...the painting you admired is a old oak that in the old cememery that near my home...I often walk and paint there...duck pond painting are also in this area...the pond reflection are a watercolorist delight...glad you found me hope to chat again...happy painting...debmadison

The trees were done with art software-the program I have has many variations-color changes etc. The background was done "by hand" and the trick is to mix the the manipulated with the hand.
