I know what you mean.  Work has a way of getting in the way of life!

Yes, it's a photo!  Isn't it a gorgeous pose. The flamingo made me wait for it, but bam... I got it!

yep, he is at Bowdoin although this semester is studying abroad in Sicily and in April my daughters and I are meeting him in Rome for a week of vacation. I plan on bringing my travel paints but with my kids there with me realize its not a painting vacation but more about enjoying the fact that my 3 kids still want to hang out with their mom! I will definitely bring my camera and take pictures and paint back at the studio when I am home. Just an aside, the coolest trees I have ever seen are in Maine although I have not been to the pacific northwest as of yet and I know I need to get there at some point.

Enjoy the day, I am done with deskwork and have lots to do before I teach my last Tuesday night class of the session, later!

in response to your work in progress - I dont even know what medium you are painting with but if its watercolor you most definitely can do a glaze on top, that is where the yellows came from in my new posted work, the yellow was added at the end! can you take a photo of the work in progress and email it to me? I am happy to suggest things but if I could see where you were at it would be easier.. email is robin@fineartbyrobin.com, let me know what you decide.
