Welcome! Thanks for the nice comment. I would love to say that i had a book, but I'm actually pretty new to this whole scene. It's very exciting to get such positive feedback from such talented, amazing people. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

I should tell you then that "White River" was finished after I saw the Hopper show in Boston...I found out he had visited my area and sketched along the river.  I took one sketch, since I thought i could find the spot, and ended up seeing it at a turn out on the road.  There is a great swimming hole there.  Funny thing is I had started the painting when I found the spot, and discovered the center area in the painting is actually an island.  It was an incredible process, and finding the spot Hopper stood to sketch was thrilling.

Gardening, cooking, & jewelry making--are you sure you're not me?  :-)  I guess a lot of artists have similar hobbies.  I'd also like to see pictures of your work...
