wow, exquisite rates pretty high on the praise scale.  Thanks.  I did the tree using Fiberfrax.  I carve each and every detail with a multitude of knives and other tools.  Some are carved prior to firing the board, others are carved after firing the board and then the glass is cooked on top.  I have found this the easiest way to do larger pieces.  Clay plaster and cement have limitations and troubles with expansion and contraction when you use pieces that are vary large.  Each of the panels making up the tree are 24" x 38".

I liked the amber colored one with the face on it.  How did you do that one?  I use fiberfrax in alot of what I do but have used plenty of plaster, concrete, and other things.  Thanks for the compliment, I am glad you like my work.

Wow, your work is amazing.  I love the mosaics - and it sounds like your studio and gallery are going to be great!!!

I saw the glass tile you did.  It looks great.  I work with glass also. Do you make any large pieces?
