Your photographs are amazing.  I have never met anyone who did not like Paris, so that is easy, but the photos of the Native Americans are great.  They have such strong faces.  I have spent many hours copying,(with charcoal) those old Curtis photos.  I am always surprised at how strong the faces are.  By comparison, most of the faces in the newspapers seem anemic.  Love your work.  Richard

Hi Gary,

Thanks for stopping by! The Thalia's Wonderland that you were inquiring about is a digital image manipulated in a PS. I'm hoping to get back into the darkroom soon. I'm more of a darkroom person. =)

I relate very srongly to the facial emotions of the American Indian. Your photos make their emotion come alive in their faces. You make history personal.

Gary, I like your work and I am impressed by the last three prints you posted, especially the one of Rabekah Miles.  Where is your next show going to be, I would like to see your work in person.

Hi Gary....I appreciate your comment... your feedback is so interesting.  I don't know why I titled it "Road to Recovery." and your comment saying the road looked lonely really made the title seem appropriate which I didn't realize.... :-0) Meredith (feather)

Hi, Gary, Thank you for looking at my work. The backgrounds are part of the painting. The works are a discussion of sorts about opposites - open vs. closed (boxed). . . A narrative of my life at the moment. I hope to create some question and perhaps a little intrique. And yes, I am in Glendale, AZ - not too far from Tucson. You could check out my blog when you have time - different paintings - www.CyndyCarstens.blogspot.com   Hope to hear from you again soon. And thanks again.
