Hi Mineke, Your cityscape paintings remind me of another favorite artist who works in watercolor, British painter David Curtis. Lovely work indeed.

Warm Regards, David

You have exceptional work in your gallery.   I am happy that you liked my Snowy Egret.  I was working a lot with leaving lost edges to involve the viewer in filling in the spaces.

Thank you for the comment about my work.  I would like to join the ranks of daily painters.  Still trying to accomplish that goal.  I get brain fried from my 40-hour a week job and so it is hard to paint afterwards but that is something I always felt would be good for me.  I will enjoy following the work you post.

Excellent work.  Welcome to the U.S., My wife and I visit Corpus to see our  son and I have done some painting there.

After visiting your blog, I realized we are both using blogspot.  I liked the link you had for subscribing, and so figured out how to add that to my own.  While I was looking at your scuttle profile, I saw you had a neat link there to your blog....    I am not sure how you posted that, but after viewing the source and doing a little cut and paste, I figured it out too. So thank you for the additional inspiration!

Impressive work, esp. your daily painting and blog.  I am inspired, but would have to adjust to shorter work to do one a day.  Do you have work that takes longer, and if so does the daily painting cut into that work or augment it? greg

Thank you for your comments about my work.  The cityscape you really liked called "Tollcross Sunset" is Edinburgh, Scotland.  I did an exchange program for 6 months there when I was in college.  I love European cities.  I love the quality of European cities that you capture too.  There is something very distinct and different about European cities than American cities.  You really tap into that vein.
