I will look into the Ceiba tree as subject matter...first I've got to go to Mexico...good excuse to Travel!  I see you're a biologist, what do you do?  I love the natural world and volunteer w/ our local park system as a bird walk leader.

Thank you for the kind words about my paintings.  I love trees too, so much so it's been suggested I'm part druid!  I haven't seen the ceiba tree or heard of it, but now thanks to you I have.  I googled it, it looks paintable!  I like the belief the Mayans had about it.
