Thanks for your comment. Yes that one is new. I'm waiting for it to tell me what is the next step. Kind of nerve wracking, but there is so much else going on I have to let it happen at its own pace.

Fuerza!

Thanks for explaining the frond piece. I did picture it above a couch, like a window! It's always better to understanding a painting when the artist gives the perspective of where it came from or why it was done.

Hi Marible..... Thank you for the comments on the Orange Bud...rose painting.. It is Acrylic.

The flowers in many of my other paintings are made from stencils I designed myself.  I use a mixture of primer and joint compound to thicken the paint... sometimes I use textured paint that you can get at hoem Depot....half the price of art store mediums and equally as durable and workable.

I fill the stencils with the texured medium and when It is dry I work in the paint and glazes and crackle,

I love your cactus...but you are very good at portrait...I can see why it would be a joy finishing the eyes....that is one of the hardest parts...catching one's personality and spirit..(for me)

Right now i'm just making really good laser copy prints on nice thick paper...they actually come out pretty nice. I mat them, sign and  sell them at local art festivals. If I make some money I'll invest in some  nicer "archival" prints or giclees.
