Hello, you have some lovely portraits. Thank you for your comment, and yes, I do pastel but also oil, acrylic, colored pencil, graphite, charcoal, conte', pen and ink, and a touch of watercolor. I guess I have not found my niche yet.

Ken, thanks for your kind words. I put a Bible verse on some paintings, if the painting seems to illustrate a truth from scripture. The Bible says "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Word will never pass away". Its really the only constant, the only absolute in this life.

As far as painting goes, composition, etc.- a painter friend of mine describes it like this: drawing, composition, values, color, edges, etc. are like spinning plates...if you spend to much time on any one plate, another plate will stop spinning and fall. I think there is a little truth in there.
