Hi Karen, Thanks for your comments on "Daddy Voice". In answer to your question, "How do you come up with so many different masks???", at least 80% of my mask paintings are of masks I have in my collection. I'm always looking for something to paint in each of them. Sometimes when I'm at a loss for what to do I just take one off the wall go for it. I still have a few masks around the house that I haven't painted yet. Some may never have that honor. We'll see...   -Don

Thanks for visiting my page.  I checked out your gallery.  I love how expressive your work is.  You've captured something completely different in each person you've painted.

Hi Karen,

Thank you for your comment on Uncle Bill's hat. Unfortunately he died about 20 years ago. That painting is of his last felt hat, I also have his last straw hat and rodeo chaps which I plan to do a still life of. He was a real cowboy, quiet a man.

Hi, Karen - I'm glad to be your friend.  I took a look at your web site and saw that you, too, worked as a courtroom artist.  I find it to be a fun and challenging assignment.  Your work is engaging - I think "Are My Glasses On Straight?" is probably my favorite!

All the best - Skip
