That's probably one of the best comments I could get. that you knew where it was before the title was read. thank you! I have hundreds of paintings in my head for that  collection!

Hey, good to hear from you and thanks for the complement on the new photo.  I just finished a show and sold five prints and I agree with you on the recession, let's hope people keep buying new photo.

Yes, I am still traveling a lot with no slow down in site.  But a vacation is on the horizon with my son and his family.  Keep in touch, and good luck with the shows, and by the way who designed your web site.  I really need someone to work on one for me.  I think I would get a few more sales that way???

Regards,

Steve B.

Hi Kara,

Second time I try to typing this out, hit the wrong button and deleted.

Step one- coat all collage papers and surfaces with polymer medium, golden brand is what I use.

Step two- image transfer are copied to Hp presentation paper, clay base paper. Then I coat the paper two times let each coat dry. it makes a thick film.

Step three- Lay out the collage papers tack down with release paper and heat seal iron/tack iron. I then trim around image that I would like to transfer and lay it face down and repeat what I did just about.  The image transfer fuses to the surface and then you see the white blank back of the paper.  I then dampen a cloth and soak the area and rub off the paper till it completely off. Then coating it one more time with polymer.  This will stop any paper bloom that happens. This method is the best one I found for the clear image transfers.

You can see the supplies and a book on Jonathon Talbots site. www.talbot1.com I learned this about 6 years ago from him in a four day workshop.

hope this helps.

As for the flow of creating I totally understand.

Kara,

I really enjoyed looking at your versitily(sp) in your work.  Do you work in series or how the creative mood moves you?  I do enjoy your colors and the textures.

Hi Kara, I havent been able to stroll through SB as much as I'd like to lately, Im going into Scuttlebutt withdrawals. Thanks for the nice comments, looking forward to seeing what youve been working on. I dont have a computer at home right now, and they just put restrictions on our internet use at work (big jerks). Have not yet had a chance to try and get a print made from your picture, Its on my list of things to do though. Hope all is well, have an awesome weekend.

Hey ya...trust you are up to good things, and not trouble-makin'.  I posted a couple new knick knacks, and had nearly 2 days in the studio framing and working to get ready for open studios on the 24 and 25.  Have you seen "the long engagement?"  Nice French film with Jody Foster cameo....

Hey, what's up, long time no see.  I've been too busy to complete any work and get it posted.  Maybe this weekend I'll post something other than a subway photo of Paris.
