Hello Kara,

Thank you for your kind comments about my painting

"Rafting with Friends" It was done from memory of the

times we used to raft our boats at night while cruising

in calm weather and share dinner and drinks. It was a

fun time. I do love the sea and miss it dearly.....

Kara - thanks for the comments, and yes, Kite Runner is a favorite of mine.  What an incredible story! How long have you been painting?  Your work is colorful and impelling.  I like what you do.

HI Kara:

Thanks for the compliment on my view of the world.  I love yours as well. I'm hard pressed to decide if I connect more with the abstracts or the landscapes. I really like these two landscapes you have up now. Thanks also for the photographs of Arkansas - I especially love the river photo.  I have not been to Arkansas. The closest I have come was driving highway 10 from Louisiana to San Diego.  It looks really beautiful there!

Your 2 landscapes are quire different than your abstracts.  I like the subtle colors and compositions of the work with blocks, reminding me of Klee and Hoffman.  I have working with these two elements combined in one painting....abstracting the landscape into simplified elements.  Good to see your posts.
