Thanks for the kind words about My Sweet Daughter.  I really enjoyed your gallery-- love the texture on your paintings and you have some really beautiful photographs.

hey!

i wanted to respond when we were both online last night, but birthday celebrating intervened (mine! 48 eek!)

so about the mangos and dancing naked.............i love mangos!  right about now a warm place, mangos and dancing naked (what was it you said, on the beach?) sound fantastic in this cabin fever state of mind i'm in!

actuallly it was fairly warm today, the sun was out. i took a trip to erie,  pa.  (i'll tell you about the reason for the trip some other time-maybe sometime when you're in ohio--) but the birding was good, saw a bald eagle, several red tailed hawks, a northern harrier, swans and other various and sundry birds.

no new paintings posted, although several are in progress.

the show at lakeland college closes this weekend and it was a great show.

later.

Thank you!  I had my hand on a mango at the market today, I am sure everyone there read my thoughts as I hefted it and ran a scenario in my mind.  I did not but it in the end.  I did paint today with a happy mood. To think of the dark energy I have banished when I close the door to the studio! Spring scene, melting snows...hope to post it tonight!

Hi Kara, totally into the look of metallics too...way they catch the light is quite special.  Becoming especially fond of a pearlesque metallic thinned a bit so becomes more opaque.  Really loving the way it lets the color underneath show through but it takes on that incredible sheen.  Only drawback is I'm finding it difficult to capture the subtleties in a photo! Let me know if you've got any tricks ;)

No offense taken, in fact, I am quite fond of teasing.  Yea, Indigomar and I are starting a movement.  We needed a title, and maybe it is "Naked Mangos".

We also need a manifesto, and while I am at it we need someone like Kandinsky to help keep the whole thing funded and cover publicity costs, printing, and has a big house to invite all our friends over to for, you guessed it, MANGOS!

Seriously, I love your work.  You seem prolific.  Perhaps you are not taken to periods of brooding and working in charcoal like me...
