Hi James!  How are you?!  Thanks for posting on my page!  I took a look at your art as well and immediately had such admiration for you, you don't hesitate in expressing yourself that's for sure!!  I really enjoyed your gallery and with so much to say, I'll be back browsing thats for sure!  I can only hope to paint with such freedom!

Now to wine! We produce some really great wines here in the Okanagan...the South Okanagan Wine Festival starts right about now, so looking forward to doing some tastings this Sunday.

I'll have to rent "Basquait', just saw Girl with a Pearl Earring with Scarlett Johansson and enjoyed that alot.

Hey, thanks. Yeah those ears are real. In fact, I chose to do this guy just because his ears were so big that the camera couldn't focus on them and his face at the same time. ain't that something? I do do some crappy paintings in my spare time. I use a ton of found wood that I clean up(in New Orleans 9th ward it's especially easy to find some cool pieces). I've never got into oil (not for any particular reason) but i am slowly falling in love with india ink and colored pencils. I try to carve out my images in the wood, but only when I have some time because the only tool I have here at my house for that is a cork screw and a small pocket knife. I'll try to put some stuff up but I don't have a camera...I did want to tell you that you tattoo is crazy cool. I do tattoos at home (I don't have any so no one will hire me) but what it reads I think that more people need to think about it :)And I love your work and political tie ins. I think they're great.

 Thanks for the comment

Thanks James. I do pop-surrealist work. I had to add some photos and change my profile a bit. I'm new around here. I wonder if Texas holdem brings in some good income. Ha ha.

I tried to switch avatars the other day and it wouldn't take. I'll be your alter ego for now.

Yours truly,

Thanks for your comments on my work! Silk costs about $4 - $10/yard, depending on the type of silk.  Don't know how that compares with other media. The dyes are expensive initially but last a long time.

I like the complexity of your work - obviously a lot of thought and emotion goes into each piece!

Hi James

Thanks for visiting my page and your gracious comments on my work.  I appreciate it!

Your paintings are so powerful and inspiring.  I am particularly moved by "Morning Glory"....beyond awesome.

You asked if I could do Rhino's or other shapes in glass.  Yes, I can.  I must admit I've never done a Rhino, but that wouldn't stop me from trying.  If you have more questions, email me.

Thanks again ~~ Kathleen
