Oh, Summer Storm is oil on linen, about 24x36.  I use real turp to thin, paint thicker on that, and will varnish when it is dry.

You are the second person to tell me about the Burchfield connection.  I finally found a nice big book of his work, after the first person.  I really  like how he allowed his imagination to run rampant, and added sounds as image.  The image you commented on is back in my studio, I have added yellow to the 5 blue trees and lightened the middle area.

I am adding you to my top friend list to remind me to look more often! 

 

I felt the same about your images especially those with rows of trees.  Perhaps we could start a movement, like Marc and Kandinsky..

Newbury!  Ponderson  State Park,,,Yes!   We used to go there on the weekends get togethers so much fun,,,so many childhood memories!Ok...Guess what, I had an Aunt that lived in Newbury.

 

I knew there was something very special about that painting!

HI Indigomar,  thank you for your very sweet comments....I grew up in Pepper Pike   (the east side of the Cuyahoga) 

My fav is definitely Anam Turas...is there a story to this, a dream, a wish?  what does the Title mean?

 

I also love your trees in line....the vibrant colors!  very lively and happy!
