You will experience the most incredible freedom in using your fingers to paint!  I use gloves now and then but it isn't the same.  I have a connection to my pieces and my fingers start to take me where they want to go!

I like your landscapes and the color usage.  I like the fact that you are not afraid to use color!

I only use white paint at the very end of a watercolor painting if I need to add spatter or light touches of white highlights.. or maybe if I need to highlight my birch trees in a painting, but using white paint with watercolors leads to mud if you arent careful and I never use it til the very end.

Hi gregoryalbright  aka top friend, I dont know what medium you are working in but since I only know about watercolor I can suggest how to create depth using watercolor only - I paint in layers, first is the wash, then dry the paint, then is the next layer of wash, defining composition and creating depth, then dry the paint, then is detail work, done working dry. I build depth with my paint layers in washes and glazes which allows for the transparency of the medium to reflect the depth of the painted washes which leads to the depth of the painting. At the end, if I really need to push things back into more depth perspective, I might toss in some spatter. So thats how I do it, but you may find a better way will work for you.

Yes, I decided to use my PR photo on this site but I had to figure out how to resize it before I could post it although I figured that out too. I like when you can see a persons face.
