I enjoyed visiting your gallery.  Your work is pretty amazing for someone just painting for a year and a half.   I love the water/ canyon painting the best.  Remember it was Vincent VanGogh who said that if you hear a voice telling you you can't paint, pick up a brush and that voice will be silenced! 

Thank you for visiting.  Yes, the train is definitely a guy thing.  That was for my 4 year old grandson, and he carefully critiqued my work.  Before it was finished he told me the steam didn't have any blue in it! It had to have his stamp of approval before it was done.

Hey - I used to do Bob Ross on PBS - remember the little squirrel in his pocket.  I have kept some of my first art attempts and I love to look at them - every journey begins with one footstep - just keep at it!

 

Thanks for the feedback on my site . . . daydreaming is a number one compliment!!!  This year has been fun and working with kids in mind is very inspiring, especially as some of my more "fine art" pieces are more serious/darker.

Thank you for commenting about my Sierra series.  We lived there for almost ten years.  The subject matter is captivating.  In the northwest the color of the landscape is so different.  I am just beginning to paint landscapes here now, the sunsets bring the color I crave. You may be a beginner but your soul shines through your work, keep painting! Pattie
