YOU have a good weekend TOO, GB! If it's too hot, go work on sketching a building (you said you needed to work on those. and make it one with LOTS OF AIR CONDITIONING FOR PITY'S SAKE!

I know little to nothing about oil painting but I do like the specs of light that you seem to put in some of your work.  I suspect that will be what you're known for as you continue this journey.  Light is so important and not everyone sees it can see it.  Nice!

Hi there - thank you for your kind words - most encouraging.  The portrait is a detail of a larger piece, but I liked it cropped as shown. Keep on painting - it is torture but the only way to go! Sarah

If there is an art club in your area, join it.  You would be surprised at what you can learn from other artists.   They like to share as well.


Just keep on painting, and drawing when ever you can..  I see something happening in your work.

Thank you for your kind comment. Still life's are not my favorite to do, but they are great for working on colors and composition. You have some really nice work here.
