yes, your skills cover a wide range, the Fenway painting is a totally different, more realistic title. And you dont have a preference? I would have guessed abstraction.

Yes, we are getting a new stadium-finally. Can hardly wait till it's done.  We have to rebuild a new bridge (35W) here also in MN so I hope that we can not have any politic problems- already a nasty issue emerging.   It has been a long time coming.  We are getting excited here in Minn-it will be 25-30 degrees-  yahoo!  My poor pupper has not had a walk for awhile cus I am such a wuss with the cold.  She is bugging now to play with her -putting one of her stuffed toys on my lap while I'm at the computer-  whining, whining!

I had to laugh when I read that after you finished your buddy's painting you felt that your arm was attached to it. I have felt that at time's, too.  It can be hard to part with those paintings that take extra effort and time.  talk to you soon.

More info on prints.. its endless, there are different ways to make prints, and it does require some research on your part so you can know what is the best way to reproduce your painting. I have done prints 2 different ways - hi res scans created with a medium format camera, allowing for giclee prints to be museum quality however this is costly, an image capture and color proof cost anywhere from $100 to $200, then there is a cost involved in the actual prints you want made. cost is based on size, the end result being prints that look almost identical to the original painting. what size is your painting? that may have an impact on how large a print you should make.

I also have done prints with a standard type camera and have had giclee prints done but without the medium format image scan the print quality and resolution is not as fine as it can be but its much less expensive. My friend charges about $10 for an image capture, then print costs are again based on size.

The most important part of the print process in my opinion is the color proofing and that is a reason I prefer going to someone local. There are many good printers out there but the key is matching the colors to the original painting. Here is a link off my website which gives some basic giclee print information, maybe it will help explain the process better -

Hi, I do know about selling prints because I sell them; I sell prints of some of my original paintings. Isnt the painting of Fenway an original of yours? I believe anyone who wants to paint Fenway can paint Fenway.. I am not sure but I doubt you need any copyright for that, the only legal copyright is that you are copying what is your original painting and you own that because its your painting. Did that make sense? And since its your painting, you can do whatever you want with it - sell prints, market it anywhere and everywhere. Investing in prints is an entirely different aspect of art marketing but I have found it has paid off for me. A key factor for you should be to think about how many prints do you want to make, what is the cost involved, what will you retail the prints for, and where will they be offered for sale. Not sure if I answered any or your questions. It is a very very marketable painting.

Its hard not to be a red sox fan unless of course you are from New York and I just rechecked to see where you lived so I guess your friend is lucky for you to do such a wonderful painting for him even though you arent from New England .. you know, if you decided to make prints of this I bet you could sell tons of them in the Boston/Fenway area.

Hi flstormz~

Thank you for viewing my gallery, and I've perused yours, too.  Impressive!  I'm sure it's only the tip of the iceberg, but you appear to be like me: everything interests and it's difficult to settle into one particular title by which the world knows one.  Yup.  I can relate to that.  Everything you're showing is delicious, though.  Very sophisticated stuff!  I'll check back again for any new postings!

Thanks for your comments on my latest piece.

I have just checked out your gallery and I see you do both realistic work and abstract.  Which do you prefer doing?
