Dear Scuttlebutt members,

I recieved this message earlier today, from David's wife.  We will miss him dearly, but we will remember him well.

Annie

Hello,

It is with great sorrow that I am sending this email.

At 9:35 am on Dec. 1st, 2008 David H. Large  passed away.  His
long fight to breathe is over and he is resting in peace.   As with
all those who pass, he is at rest and those of us who are left behind
are the ones who will be suffering in our grief.

I consider myself lucky to have had over 25 years to spend with a
loving and wonderful husband.  The world is a darker place for having
lost his presence, but heaven has gained a wonderful soul.

Love to you all
Thank you for your kindness and friendship over the years.

Roz Large

Your paintings are awesome! as well as your models. Years ago I did model ship building. My favorites were the "Sea Witch" and the "Cutty Sark". The most challenging was the USS Constitution, took me almost a year to finish it. As hard as it was, it was fun. However it's amazing what a 4 year old can destroy in just a few seconds. I wanted to cry whenhe destroyed them all.

I like Montana.  My family came from the Flathead and Glacier Park areas.  I enjoy living in warm Tucson, Arizona.  No snow and lots of sun.  I'm surprised you don't live in Seattle or by the ocean after seeing your artwork.   - Ruthy

Thanks for your comment.  Like the "Sea Captain", you would be an interesting person to paint.   The love of the sea shows in your beautiful painting.  - Ruthy

Thanks for the kind words and for visiting my website. :)  I grew up on lake erie and spent most of my free time just watching the water and dreaming.  Your last posted painting reminds me of it so much - I can't say how beautiful it is to me!

Thanks for the good words. I love the ocean more than anything, like you, though I live inland. Did scrimshaw before I painted.
