I understand there is a show at your school today or tomorrow....I also understand Julia...David's wife is in your class.  Best wishes...I just finished a 27 platinum print job for a famous artist....(for his family, museum holdings and friends...)  !!  :-)  Gary

Hi Debroah,

Can you tell me the techniques used on these last few postings in your gallery?  Thanks.... Gary

Well the way I do it (reductively using one plate) is actually the "newer" way.  Picasso came up with it in the 50's.  The other way is to use a plate for each color.

Reductively you do have to kind of think backwards I guess.  The other way I think would be much harder and require much more planning.

What did your instructor say about it?

Your mailbox was full so I'm posting this here....

That's an excellent place for your artwork! Hopefully you'll get a few sales out of it.

I need to get moving on some new abstract art. I've been tied up doing this one painting for a while and it's finally almost done. Way more detailed than I usually work but it's turing out nice. I may make some prints of it and see if I can sell some. It's a painting of Fenway Park in Boston. I'll post it once it's done. The one I did before that was a portrait which also came out nice - I'm looking at running a few ads in some local publications to see if I can get some portrait business coming in.

I look forward to hearing the response to your art in that studio : )

I have a site, but there's not much there yet.  You can see most of my work at www.gallery514.com click on artists then on my name.

Nope, I haven't had much luck with Litho!

Thanks!

I took my first printmaking class 13 years ago and did my first relief print 12 years ago.

I prefer relief, however in the last couple years I've been trying to get back into doing more intaglio, screenprints, and lithography.

Eric
