Thank you for your comments on "The Rock". It actually is in Oregon–though I don't remember the name of the beach. Breathtaking experience! All I know is that it was somewhere near Portland. I visited there in 1991. It was fascinating to me I guess because it was so different from where I was raised. I'll never forget the sound of the waves–so powerful-to me a bit like the distant sound of many freight trains connecting cars! Enjoyed exploring the Columbia River Gorge as well. Gorgeous!
