I like your work. I grew up out here in Wash., but spent 10 years over by Cadillac, Michigan. Everybody thought I was nuts because I loved to be out in the thunderstorms! (no thunderstorms here). I loved the way the clouds would be going 3 different directions when things really got rough. Try painting that!....Craig

I very much enjoy your work.  Some of it reminds me of New Mexico where I grew up. I too am now a Wisconsinite.  It seems there are a lot of very good artists in Wisconsin.  I have a theory that the snow and the cold keep us indoors - painting.

You mention 40 years playing the guitar.  I too have played the guitar since I was a child. Unfortunately, the music industry is a very hard place to be now.  I have a friend who plays weekly gigs in a jazz group.  The entire group is payed $100 a night for three hours.  That's exactly the same as my band was making in 1969!

Anyway, keep up with your art.  It's just a matter of finding your audience.  You know the old saying "Build it, and they will come".

Cheers....

Thanks for the comment.  The 2 girls are actually my grandsons...who the train is for and from where I got my appreciation for them.  I can't believe you just started painting...your work is really good.  You are definitely good enough for an art fair, but you may want to check them out first to get some ideas. They do sell tents to display your work, but they're not cheap.   You should check out a site called WetCanvas.com - it's a big website but there's forums with advice, learning, challenges, etc.   I just discovered it a few months ago and I love it.

I AM THINKING ABOUT DO AN ART FAIR IN JUNE BUT I DON'T KNOW IF i AM READY TO DO THAT.  NEED TO FIND MORE INFORMATION ON THAT SHOW AND WHAT THE COST IS AND HOW HARD IT IS TO GET EXCEPTED INTO IT.

I JUST DON'T KNOW IF I'M GOOD ENOUGH AT THIS POINT. I NEED TO GIVE IT MORE THOUGHT. I CAN'T BEGIN TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO SET UP, GET A SCREEN TENT OR A CAMP KITCHIN WOULD DO I GUESS MIGHT NOT BE THE TIME I WOULD HATE TO GET LAUGHED OUT OF THE SHOW BUT I COULD USE THE PRIZE MONEY, I KNOW I CAN'T GET THAT IF I DON'T ENTER, RIGHT?
