Thanks!  I admire those who can handle watercolor in a realistic fashion.  To me it is just too squirrelly.  I do some with it but usually in many layers.  Are you a Charles Burchfield fan?

As for Jack, he has some good advice, but his last article about ebay was a crock of longhorn droppings.  I see it as a real wasteland, but wouldn't mind if that was my big sales break.

I love your beaches... that's the closest you can get to the raw force of nature. You have really captured the light and the contrast between the serenity of the sand and seagrass vs. the waves. Congrats on your venture in Art Expo!!! That's HUGE! I usually go every year (just to look), but this year the schedule is conspiring against me. If I do  come down I will look for your booth. Break a leg, as they say!

Thanks for what you said about my work. We're all doing the best we can, aren't we!

You totally rock!  I love your work.  Thanks for the advice, I've read a couple of Jack's columns, but I'll be sure to read the book now.  Also, I adore Peter Gabriel and Annie Lenox...We must be around the same age!!

Thanks for the advice!  I'm reading one called "How to sell your art without selling your soul" or something like that.  Crazy overwhelming!  Good luck with your expo!

Heather, Thanks for visiting my scuttlebutt gallery and commenting
so positively! I went to your gallery and loved the luscious nudes and
marine works. Your treatment of waves/surf leaves me envious! Gorgeous!

Happy painting,

Carol Lois/Aquabelle

You would love Block Island. I go their once a year with my watercolor teacher and some from my class for plein air painting...in September when 90% of the tourists are gone, and the weather is perfect. I take my camera and lots of pictures for future paintings. It's such a non-spoiled island....lots of places to explore, walking, biking. I have a slideshow of paintings from there I put on my blog yesterday if you want to check it out. bunnygriffeth.blogspot.com
