RRivas...Your work is full of color, form, emotion, and stories......It is a very nice  addition of a different artistic title here in ASB.  Pleased to find your page and invite you to be friends.  Best wishes... Gary  :-)  Geez...I wish I could draw.....   !!!

We are luck enough to have a beautiful mural by José Clemente Orozco here at Dartmouth, and your work has some of the passion and more of the color.  I enjoyed looking at Ddiego Rivera's mural at my college, but your work, while I compare it, is not heavy handed with the social message.  The images are real and human, and the colors keep them positive and lush.

bravo!

I just spent some time i Belieze and can relate to what you say about the pace of life... I know it is different than El Salvador, but central America has made a deep impression on me as a norte americana living in Vermont.  Post more work when you gt a chance.

I thought I would be able to sketch there, but I was pretty overwhelmed by the color and people, and found my itinerary too brisk to do any meaningful work.  But I have a new palette imbedded and hope to explore this in the coming weeks.

The moment I saw your work I realized we had something in common. I grew up in Mexico and TV was not an important componen of our household. I also feel the need to depict the Mexican people and their issues. I am totally tuned to what happens in Latinamerica and I hope to raise more awareness and understanding of what happens there. My husband participates in humanitarian misions in El Salvador and he brings me pictures of people and places in your countryside.

I agree .... "Wow!"  Execution is great, designs are dynamic, and themes/symbolism strong. I could spend lots of time studying these works and would like to know more about your inspiration for these paintings. - Kathy
