Hi Lisabeth *

Your messages were fun to get... Bright spots in my email ritual! Thank you!

I guess I just try to paint from a place of stillness and let the painting unfold organically, with out putting to much energy into the finished product. Each piece is a glimpse into the magical, unseen world of energy that exists happening alongside our modern world.  Alaska is boundless with inspiration - my eyes are always feasting : ) I live just outside the town of Fairbanks in the Interior of Alaska. An "Arctic Desert." I wasn't aware of Stebbin's -- I am going to look it up on a map.

What inspired you today?

You may want to check out www.qualityart.biz and www.framesbymail.com for frames. They both carry nice wooden frames. Frames by mail also carries beautiful metal frames.

Take a look.

Hi Lisabeth,  Your "about me" intrigues me....  a novelist...a cancer survivor..  a caregiver, a supporter,  an artist.... that is quite a portfolio!

I spent 6 years in Woodstock CT, while hubby toiled at UCONN..Phd program.. I loved CT.  But then on to Berkeley CA...even more amazing...

I'm glad I found your page....I've started writing before I looked in your gallery...and now must finish or lose this writing before I look.

Seaweed...very interesting...

I made my tree leaves from stencils that I made.  and used heavy textured paint to fill the stencils, when it dries  I paint it with color...

let me know if you want more info on  the how I did it...

I loved Wally Lamb  what a good read that was,,,,

The Palma de Madagascar that you liked is just gesso with sand and painted with acrylics! check out the web page I sent you there's a lot of  good info about textures.
