Hi Laughlines, I don't feel too hampered by my age in this field, since a lot of artist don't "make it" until they're older (or dead, ha ha). But we women in middle age tend to get bogged down with various obligations and annoying health problems that sap the energy. However, maybe there's gold at the end of the rainbow. You never know...

Interesting that you do murals...for seven year...before I turned to watercolors...I paint for a local theater...doing backdrop, mural and sets...it a different thing painting large....very challenging...and I love a good challenge...nice to see your gallery...debmadison

Thanks  for the comments on my pen and inks, although the reproductions aren't very good. I'll have to scan them again since the file size is not an issue on this website. As you can tell, I kind of get caught up in the details.

Ironically in this day of computers I find that most of the pen and ink commissions I have done are because they don't look "commercial" or computer generated. I started painting in acrylics because of the unfortunate idea that pen and inks are not as valuable as paintings. If they only knew how much more work went into those pen and inks.......
