Gabriela,

Love the contemporary potrayal of Maya portraits, but the Mission??? It made me so very sad. I lived in Paraguay for 4 years. My family lived there for 16. The jesuit missions are such a sad and brutal story. Motorcycle diaries was fabulous. What an amazing man Che was. My work is about global connectedness in my on way. The still lives of nests that I do are combinations of the nests artesania from fabulous cultures the birds might see on their way south.

Hola Gabriela! Vi tu comentario en el retrato de acuarela y dejame decirte que es, en cuano a retratos, mi favorito. La idea surgió ya que tengo familia que vive en Guatemala y en una fotografía estaba la madre con la niñita y yo lo adapté con mi hija atrás y la trenza rubia como la mía y la verdad es que me encantó. Gracias por el comentario. Me da gusto comunicarme en mi idioma! En que estás trabajando ahora?

Its me again!!! I forgot to ask you if you know that those beautiful skeleton ladies you paint are called CATRINAS? They are the actual representation of death. Were born in the need of making fun of the death! They can be represented as cheerful and well dressed or just boney like more serious kind! Did you knew this? I love catrinas!
