Thank you for your comments. It's one of the few things I've done that wasn't commissioned and it means a lot to me.  After selling for hire for 15 years, I'm kind of searching for my own voice, which is why I like your stuff. You really draw from your heritage and environment, well crafted and expressive stuff.

Re: the mission: I should watch it again. I think it was too raw for me in those days, having just spent 4 years there. The true history made me so sad. Your work has a serenity and spirit to it that draws me in.

Love the contemporary potrayal of Maya portraits, but the Mission??? It made me so very sad. I lived in Paraguay for 4 years. My family lived there for 16. The jesuit missions are such a sad and brutal story. Motorcycle diaries was fabulous. What an amazing man Che was. My work is about global connectedness in my on way. The still lives of nests that I do are combinations of the nests artesania from fabulous cultures the birds might see on their way south.
