Gabriela,

Thanks you for the compliment on my painting, "Friends".  You have a very nice site. I love your piece, the nude entitled "The Skirt".   I am also a big fan of Frida Kahlo.

Hey, thanks! I live in Woodbridge (outside DC). I went to school in Williamsburg, though. Nice area you live in. Thanks for the comment! I like your work, too! The landscape on the right reminds me of Georgia O'Keefe.

LOL.   the one on here is only 8x10.  I did ot back in like 2001.  I am gonna do a large one like the Marley one.  54 x 54. or maybe 60 x 60.  Not sure how I am gonna get the canvas home though.  That thing will never fit in my car   LOL

Hi Gabriela~

Thanks for stopping by my site and  leaving your nice comments.  Your art is very intriguing.  There's a real Mexican-folky feel to it that I love!  Your handling of color also evokes and builds on that southwestern/Mexican feel.  In particular I love your landscape, and also your skeleton pictures that portray the deep feelings of angst in the midst of the everyday.  I hope you go on and push at these concepts more as I feel you are really saying something with them.  Good Luck!

Your art shows great diversity, powerful imagery and a wonderful use of contrast!  I really like reading the backstory about your art, and especially the pre-Hispanic influences.  That's the kind of reflection that provides added depth to art, and yours is tremendously strong.
