Don- Do you ever sleep?!! Are you working or are you "playing"??? Thanks for your comments. I like where you were going with your comments (better than what I was thinking!). I thought it looked kind of like a Winslow Homer on acid! :)

I thought of you the other day- we were in Old Town (Albuquerque)- went into a little New Mexican Folk Art gallery- they had an entire wall of some really awesome masks! I could have used your Casino Gold Card! Let me know when you're ready to grow your collection...

Hey Don!

Thanks for visiting my page and for your welcome message.  Your work is amazing, very realistic with a great use of colour.  I look forward to seeing more!

Hi Don,  My daughter's mask is a very simple gold mask, covering her eyes and the top of her nose, its got a relief design but its pretty basic, black ribbon ties it around the back of her head.. the masks were priced ridiculously high! Her other masks are hanging in her room and at some point maybe I can photograph for you. The show was great, the music, the acts, of course the costumes, and I was glad I planned ahead enough to get tickets to this now sold out show!

Don,Thanks so much for the welcome! All of the work posted is of
Ocracoke scenes (good eye!) Part-time Ocracoke-er and (speaking of bbq)
part-time Lexington NC-er. And wouldn't ya know it, I pass through
Selma & Smithfield on my way to Cedar Island. Isn't that funny. ~Doug

Hi Don,

"Maybe being banished isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as you can take your balloon with you. "  This comment made me laugh.  I like your sense of humor.  Your right, being banished isn't such a bad thing if you take your balloon with you.  When ever I do a sad painting, I like to contrast it with a millions colors to confuse the viewer.  That's my warped sense of humor.  Well, thanks for liking it!  Take Care, Karen

Don, Thanks for the nice comments on my pastel paintings. I didn't have a photo of myself on my computer to put on my page, so I found a photo of the Col. on the Internet to use, because it is scary to admit it, but I think we separated at birth we look so much alike. Thanks again, and keep painting.

Mr. Don;  Hey...thank ewe berry much for the compliments on the renewed and somewhat enhanced version of Laughline faciature.  First of all, I always cue in on your work...always get a kick out of it.  Second of all, I am between  big painting jobs and now stuck trying to stay busy and out of trouble...I wanted to take away all the bad and put in fresh bad stuff...LOL!!!!  I have seriously debated whether to waste my time on the computer...come to find out that I miss the interaction on here...the personalities are within my comfort zone...even masked people are A-okay here...and...I would have a sharing session of self portraits...but I'm too old and I do not have a mask that I can use to hide some of Father Time's lousy beautician work that I have discovered in the Mirror of Reality...hahahahaaaaw....gosh, dang...that was deep!  Sooooooooooo....now....er...yeah...there you go!
