Thanks for the encouragment about the blog post. I am feeling pretty frustrated, so it is helpful to read your comment and know others have been there.  

There was a time I would have been unable to do what I had to do today, so I guess I am growing. I am actually going to go in a totally different direction with the idea.....starting tomorrow after good night's sleep.

Both of those paintings are acrylic. The reef is done all in brush. The tortoise I mixed paint brush and airbrush. I got the idea of mixing them from John Agnew's book "Painting the Secret World". It's been fun playing around with both. I've got one on the easel now that I'm using both also. Good talking to you. Mike,

Thanks for your help. My browser is Safari, which was what was on this Mac when I bought it. I didn't have any problems for the first few trips to this site, but for some reason things went downhill. I'll check our PC, which has a different browser, and see if that works better. Thanks!

Hey David!

What's funny about the drinking and drawing is that these people are all excellent artists..really really good.  The alcohol just gives them a little room for imagination!!! lol
