I asked you that because it takes me three days to finish a painting (sooner if it's a drawing) if I'm very devoted to it's completion. If I lag, It takes me around a month. I've been laging a lot and have been wondering how other artists handle this lag if they get it in the first place.

That's in my head a lot.

I sourt of feel guilt about letting something that I long ago recognized as a passion just slip from my grap. I'm not even gripping it anymore, it's more like two intertwined pinkies...which is rather sad.

A lot of my day dreams play host to an alternate life or the one I use to live when I was younger and how my children will be...if I ever get the chance. But, I'm always planning for the future.

Sorry if I sound negetive, but YOU sound like such a positive person! Which is inspiring  It's one reason why I wanted to add you, the others are your immense talent and great taste.

Hi Amy,

Thanks for accepting my request. I have two questions for you: How often do you paint and how long does it usually take you to work on/finish them?

I enjoyed reading about you , and I love all the books you love....oh and peanut butter and honey sandwhiches too, We live down the street from Johnny Cash's first house...(well I have a story to tell about most of the groups you like...me too... not to mention panoramic MT views... And your Paintings, I love them, I love Abstract Landscapes, dreamy, vibrant color, especially your trees!

the Painting you liked of mine  green with squares of copper in the center was my attempt to show community coming together for one cause, connection, to heal the Earth....So You Got it right on!

thanks,

Kara

Hi Amy!

How's Alaska today? A cabin huh? What a lucky girl! Did you have a good winter? It's been a few years since I was there. Summer 2004 was my last trip. I sure miss it sometimes. I hope to make it back someday with my family. I know they'll love it there as much as I do. Although, Oscar, our boy (blue heeler) doesn't like the cold much.

The new images are photographs. I had a solo show last summer called the Nine Muses and I was trying to portray them my way with a little artistic portraiture. Thalia's Wonderland seems to be the favorite.

I sure appreciate your patience and time viewing my images with your dial up situation. =) What a pal.

BTW ..Cat Power is going to play in Tempe, Arizona in April..I checked her site to see if she will be touring NJ. She played here last year but I missed it. My fav. cd of hers is a toss up between The Greatest and Myra Lee.

Thanks for the info...when I get some more stuff (paintings) I will contact him.

When i was a scenic painter i used to paint on 4x8 sheets of foamcore and they would ALWAYS curl up....i used to turn them over (after dried) and use a spray bottle to wet the backs of them...put some chairs an them..then the next day..vwalah..they were flat !
