Thanks for the visit/compliments!  I went to community college for a couple of years and then to Kendall College of Art & Design for a year.  My teachers told me my work is excellent and that I'm very talented, and that I was basically  wasting my money paying tuition when I should just go out and make my art.   So I stopped going to school.  I was doing a lot of photo-realistic commissions, which kind of "killed" my creativity/fun and enjoyment of art-making;  And, I've been through some really rough times in the past few years, but now I feel the creative spark is growing brighter again.  I kind of feel like a beginner again - which is actually a good thing. Thanks again for the compliments!  And, keep doing what you love!

I haven't had the nerve to take on a painting of that size just yet.  The largest painting that I've done was 36" x 48" other than a few murals.
