Hi Deb,

 Thank you so much for commenting. I'm pretty much an intuitive painter. I worked on this one for several layers. Sometimes they work out on the first go-round and sometimes not. Sometimes the ones needing lots of layers end up the best in the end since they have a lot more depth with the layering.

 

This particular painting is an acrylic on canvas, 48 x 36". Since I had nothing in mind but color about the time I was working on this I had several named "Conversations..XYZ (color).

 

I'm getting ready to head to Italy for a month so no telling what kind of "conversations" I'll come up with during and after that trip.

Cheryl-  Love the bold use of red in this piece.  Great composition, focal point, and placement of "action colors".   Tell us more about it.  What size, paper or canvas? Your thoughts?   It stopped me in my tracks when I was going through the thousands of photos of artwork on this webpage.  Nice work!

This painting is GORGEOUS!  I love the color red, so this one really speaks to me.  A wonderful treat for the eyes and the soul!
