I just posted two new oil paintings.  One is titled "Veteran" and the other "Flag Waver" ... I think the titles are self-explanatory.  I painted both as part of my "Meditation on War" series.  You can see the whole series at my web site, www.skiprohde.com.  Actually, I haven't decided whether "Flag Waver" should be in the "Meditation on War" series or in the political satire "Bush League" series ... what do you think?

I just uploaded a couple of watercolor sketches from my weekly life drawing session.  These were quickly sketched with pen and ink, then I went back in later with watercolor, just playing around to see what happened.  Lots of fun.  I'll upload more over the next few days.  Let me know what you think.

Last night we had our weekly life drawing session in my studio.  Some of my drawings came out pretty well.  I just posted a couple of them in my gallery.  Both are charcoal on standard white 18x24 sketch paper ... wish I'd had some Mi-Teintes or something instead ...

I just posted another 2-hour oil sketch of a young lady named Colleen.  This one was done on 12"x12" plywood.  The red undertone came from a previous oil sketch that I scrubbed out.
